Getting to School

The best way to get to and from school is by walking. The benefits are: you will be healthier, improves the safety of pedestrians and road users and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations.

The car park is for staff only. If you need to travel by car please park wisely.

Drop Off and Collection

At the beginning and end of the day we encourage parents/carers to come into the school playground. This helps to build a relationship between school and home. We want to have good links with parents and carers.

If normal arrangements have to be altered, please let the class teacher or the office know the alternative arrangements. This will help avoid any confusion or upset.

Attendance

Research has shown that regular attendance and good punctuality are crucial factors in students achieving their full potential in education. Each student is given an individual target of 97%.

We are always happy to work with Parents/Carers in resolving any difficulties but we are also committed to improving attendance levels at school.

If your child is genuinely ill, please contact the attendance team on the day of absence before 8:30am. Please try to arrange medical appointments outside of the academy day to minimise disruption to your child’s education. However, we appreciate that this is not always possible.
