Our art curriculum at E-ACT Blackley Academy equips children to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design. The curriculum builds knowledge to enable pupils to discuss how art and design reflects history, and contributes to the culture, creativity and wealth of our world. Pupils produce creative work; explore their ideas; record their experiences; become proficient in a range of techniques, including drawing, painting and sculpture; evaluate and analyse creative works using the language of art, craft and design; know about great artists, craft makers and designers; and understand the historical and cultural development of their art forms.
