On Saturday 24th June, EA Extreme, Blackley’s school dance group of Year 5s and 6s, went to the UKCA National Cheerleading Championships. The children all arrived early in the morning and started to practice the dance. Sarah, the dance teacher, began choreographing the dance at the beginning of the academic year.

“Everyone was very positive and resilient when people couldn’t be at the competition, we had to change the dance a little but we still did amazing.”

Annabel – Year 6

The resilience and adaptability the children showed was incredible. They worked tirelessly throughout the day to modify the dance. They were a credit to the academy. For the past two years, EA Extreme has come 1st in the street cheer category and we’re very proud to say that they won again this year. This was yet again another amazing experience for the children.
